Refund Policy

1. Merchant of Record

All payments for services on roastmyportfolio.com are processed by our Merchant of Record (MoR), Lemon Squeezy, LLC ("LemonSqueezy").

As such, LemonSqueezy is the primary party responsible for all billing inquiries and refund processing. Any requests for refunds must be directed to LemonSqueezy in accordance with their policies.

Your payment contract is with LemonSqueezy, not with Kolmira UG. We do not process or handle refunds directly.

2. EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

For customers in the European Union: You are entitled to a 14-day right of withdrawal for online service contracts under EU consumer protection law.

Waiver of Withdrawal Right for Digital Services

However, our service involves the immediate provision of digital content and personalized analysis. To receive your portfolio review immediately, we require you to waive your 14-day withdrawal right.

By purchasing our service, you will be required to provide:

  • Prior express consent to the beginning of the performance of the service before the 14-day withdrawal period expires
  • Acknowledgment that you understand you will thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the service begins

This waiver is a precondition for receiving your portfolio review immediately. If you do not consent to waive your right of withdrawal, we cannot provide the service to you.

How the Waiver Works

In accordance with German and EU consumer protection law, the waiver process follows a two-step procedure:

  1. Step 1 - Purchase: You complete the checkout and payment process with LemonSqueezy. The contract is formed at this point.
  2. Step 2 - Waiver Consent: Before you can access the full portfolio roast, you must provide your express consent to waive the withdrawal right by acknowledging that the service will begin immediately and you will lose your withdrawal right.

Legal Basis: This waiver process complies with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, which permits the exclusion of the withdrawal right for digital content when performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgment.

3. Our Commitment to Customer Satisfaction

Our goal is to provide high-quality, insightful portfolio reviews that deliver real value. We stand behind the quality of our analysis.

If you are not satisfied with the service you received, please contact us directly at support@roastmyportfolio.com.

While we do not offer refunds once the service has been delivered (due to the immediate, personalized nature of our digital service), we will review your case individually and work with you to address your concerns.

In exceptional circumstances where there were technical issues preventing access to your roast or other service failures on our part, we will coordinate with LemonSqueezy to process a refund.

Valid Reasons for Refund Consideration

  • Technical Issues: You were unable to access your paid roast due to our system errors
  • Service Not Delivered: The roast was not generated or delivered after payment
  • Duplicate Charges: You were charged multiple times for the same service
  • Unauthorized Transaction: The charge was fraudulent or unauthorized

Non-Refundable Scenarios

  • Service Delivered Successfully: You accessed and viewed the full roast analysis
  • User Error: Incorrect portfolio data was submitted by you
  • Change of Mind: You decided you don't want the service after receiving it
  • Abuse of Service: Multiple refund requests or fraudulent usage patterns

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund in eligible cases, you have two options:

Option 1: Contact LemonSqueezy Directly (Fastest)

  1. Visit LemonSqueezy support: lemonsqueezy.com/help
  2. Provide your order number and email address
  3. Explain your reason for requesting a refund
  4. Await response (typically within 1-2 business days)

Option 2: Contact Us (We'll Coordinate)

  1. Email us at support@roastmyportfolio.com
  2. Include your order number and detailed reason for refund
  3. We'll review your case and coordinate with LemonSqueezy if a refund is warranted

Important: LemonSqueezy has final authority on refund decisions as the Merchant of Record.

Chargebacks

Please do not file chargebacks without contacting us first.

We have a fair refund consideration process and are committed to resolving any legitimate issues. Filing a chargeback without attempting to resolve the issue through proper channels is considered fraud and may result in:

  • Account suspension and inability to use our services
  • Reporting to fraud prevention services
  • Legal action for fraudulent chargebacks
  • Recovery of costs associated with chargeback disputes

Data Deletion After Refund

In the event a refund is processed, your portfolio data and roast analysis will be immediately deleted from our systems (if not already deleted due to our standard 24-hour retention policy).

Payment transaction data is managed by LemonSqueezy in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable regulations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes.

Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Note: Changes to this policy do not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law or the rights granted under LemonSqueezy's Terms of Sale, which govern all transactions.
